We’re in need of Sponsors who would like to partner with us in this celebration! For Sponsorship opportunities, please contact the school at info@dmcssj.com
Our evening begins at 5:30 pm with cocktails, a chance to meet the DMCS Community and browse our beautiful selection of silent auction items.
At 6:30 pm, our program begins with a special performance by our beloved DMCS Choir, followed by dinner and dessert, a live auction and the a special presentation. Guided by two lovely DMCS Student MC’s, the evening is full of community spirit, enthusiasm and appreciation for the work and impact of DMCS.
This fundraiser is more crucial than ever before. As our costs rise rapidly, we are working to ensure our tuition remains affordable so that DMCS can be an accessible option for families in the Saint John area. Just to cover our costs this school year, we need to fundraise a minimum of $100,000.
Our 2024 Spiritus Award Recipient:
Father Peter Stephen
For the past 10 years, Father Peter has been a vital part of our community, celebrating Mass with us every Wednesday and guiding our students through Baptism and their First Reconciliation. We are truly blessed to have his unwavering support at Divine Mercy Catholic School.
The Spiritus Dinner History…
This is an award presented yearly by DMCS to a person who has contributed to the betterment of our community. Recipients are to be people who exhibit the qualities of generosity and caring – qualities that are foundational to DMCS.
The award is presented yearly at a gala dinner held in honour of the recipient. The event presents an opportunity to showcase the school, honour our special recipient and enjoy a wonderful evening together with family, friends and supporters. All funds help support DMCS.
The first recipient of the Spiritus Award, in 2013, was Mr. John Doyle whose many years of compassionate and tireless work for the community was recognized and honoured.
In 2014, the award was presented to 2 worthy recipients: Ms. Marijke Blok (educator) and Mr. John Barry (who received on behalf of the Barry Family). Both were honoured for their outstanding contributions to the people of Saint John.
In 2019, Most Reverent Bishop Robert Harris was a Spiritus award recipient for his tremendous support, love and generosity to DMCS.
